A compromise would be if the clear button were 1 click away instead of two.
At this point I’m thinking that the read/unread marks is the only reason I’d switch back to AIR Tweetdeck and it’s important enough for that
@duffbert I went through a very similar process with FF to Chrome switch.
@duffbert I’m not good with change. I undertsand it’s got to happen but when I like something it’s hard to move me off of it.
I’m not loving the non Air Tweetdeck but it’s definitely taking up less system resources. Good enough for me to continue this experiment.

This method also causes a small blue semicircle to appear at top of column when new tweets appear. Semicircle disappears when read.
To mimic read/unread marks in Tweetdeck simply scroll your colum down slightly. Column will now not scroll when new tweets come in.
