Sitting on the floor in my family room watching the Mets play a doubleheader and playing with my kids. This is what Father’s Day is about.

Cable connection is finally back! Now to dig out from the ton of email I now have in my inbox.

Still no cable. I’m stuck with my cellphone as only net access. It’s harder than I thought. I lost a 250 word blog post when my phone rang.

Power came back up so we’re home again. But now the cable is out. Gotta love it.

Kids clothes-check; dads clothes-check; wireless router/laptop-check; kids, we’re ready to go to grandma’s house until power comes back on.

Another power outage. Third day in a row. This one started at 3:30. Seems to be getting earlier every day.
